Boot luggage bag or luggage rack ?

Postby Teddly » Sat Mar 31, 2012 9:59 am

Hi All

Looking at getting out and about in the car in the spring / summer, bit of camping etc. Been looking at getting a boot luggage rack but then saw these luggage bags that fit ont the boot. Has anyone had any experience of the luggage bags? Would welcome your thoughts. :?

Iv heard of good reviews on Nutz.

But you can find boot lids with a mazda rack already fitted for not much money - thats just 4 bolts. I have one on mine :thumb:
Too much spec to list...

I did the usual amount of research and went for the clip-on rack. It fits all Mk1 and Mk2 cars so long as they don't have a spoiler. Useful for carrying almost anything. I've attached suitcases, wheels/tyres and even transported a rollbar.

Do you think a clip on rack would clear a ducktail spoiler like mine?

I would think so, but you're welcome to try it.

I've been looking at a luggage rack - I think they look great, especially the ones with wooden slats... watching a few on the bay.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mazda-MX5-Mk- ... 500wt_1156 is what I'd fit rather than have those bags....
