Track Days

Postby NickD » Fri Mar 28, 2008 7:15 pm

THIS IS RIPPED FROM ANOTHER SITE, SO SOME THINGS MAY NOT MAKE SENSE, OTHERS HAVE BEEN DELETED, BUT THE QUESTION IS THE SAME.

Having just completed my 6 day at Curborough, and Hoonday 3 around the corner, I have just added up that I have arranged over 10 track events in the last 2 and a half years. Also talking to a few people I have been encouraged to do more.

Obviously this provokes a bit of thought and where I want to go with this. My view of all track days is they work lots better if there is a core of good people that get on and then you can bring in the others from the outside to make up numbers but possible become good friends.

My question is this. I am trying to gauge opinion as to how many people would be interested in proper track days at reasonable price? Smaller circuits can be hired and providing the places can be filled, then places can range from £90 to £130 depending on the event.

In principal and to understand the potential, who would be interested in such days?

I'm definitely interested - depending on dates though and work commitments if it is a weekday.

Would you consider letting other people drive RaceWorx at forthcoming track days (more than 2 times) if we paid a suitable fee? My MKI is a bog standard VSpec - so no lowered suspension, 14" wheels, ordinary brake pads, ordinary shocks.

It will still be very capable and a lot of fun. I drove my previous mx5 around Curborough totally standard, and it was great.
