Steel Section

Postby Firebucket » Wed Jul 01, 2015 2:23 pm

Does anyone here work for a steel stockholder or similar and know where I can buy some steel box section, preferably on the cheap!

I need 2 off at 3.2metre 80mm x 80mm x 5or6mm box section.

I would prefer new but clean second hand would be useable.

Any help much appreciated.

Rob.

Not cheap, but Rapid Metal in Redditch will have some.

I get my steel pieces from here: http://www.fhwarden.co.uk/ It's not far from Birmingham Wheels.

They've get a variety of sheet and bar, which can be cut to size. Quite often you can find off-cuts of the right size in the scrap bin.

I don't think 10 feet in length counts as an off cut though Stu.
