Lithium Polymer Batteries

Postby MikeA » Tue Oct 08, 2013 4:28 pm

Hi All :wavey:
Not strictly for an RC project but can any of you point me towards a 'Dummies guide' to Lithium Polymer batteries, what you need to know, charging etc.
I've got a little project in mind to enhance some bike lights and I think I'm looking at needing something like 3.7V and 1500 - 1800 mAh capacity, light weight and eventually I'll be charging from USB.

Thanks

Mike

LiPo needs a dedicated charger , NiCad and NiMh chargers wont be fun if you connect them up unless its done around Nov 5th.

Cheapest way i can think of getting 3.7v and a usb charger is a mobile phone . not too sure about the Mah of the batteries but work giving it a look.
