Good luck! I'll be there as well, got a table in the Auto jumble so will be stuck there most of the time but I'll try to have a nose round the rest of the show at some point!

Just found out that I will be unexpectedly free on Sunday, so I plan to come along. Let me know if there is a group meet run there and I'll try and join.

BV and I will be going up on Saturday night for the evening party/food/music thing "MX-5's After Dark". All members are welcome to attend that and can get in for free.

More details here - http://www.nationalrally.co.uk/mx-5s-after-dark.html

Anyone else up for it?

On Sunday we will both have to be on site at 6am to report for duty to our various jobs for the day. So I'm afraid I can't lead a convoy to the Sunday event.

It would be great if you guys all gathered and convoyed in together though. Gates open at 10:30am. I would suggest you all meet at Tamworth Services at 10am?

(Those on the stand will have to arrive earlier, but I will contact you by PM to arrange)

Anyone know if they will be using the Main Entrance or the Paddock Entrance for the Donnington event?

It's not the paddock entrance for Sunday general entrance. From STHT:
"Turn Right at Isley Walton onto Melbourne Lane, drive past the main Donington Park Paddock entrance, the rally entrance is half a mile further on your right".
Exhibitors on Sunday and the Saturday night event I think do use the Paddock entrance.
It's supposed to be well signposted from Isley Walton

Took my Daughter - bumped into Ruzz and Vindi, only saw Cerbs from a distance.... Ruzz pointed him out and from about 300yds away I could see the white boots and pink outfit  Must be great to have such a diverse weekend wardrobe :thumb:

All things considered had a good day! so well done :thumb:

Something for the next time "Suggestion Box" more food options! might mean smaller food queues :banghead:

And well just more food really!!

Any chance of having a food vendor that could deliver?!! I didn't move from my stall at all until about 4.30, at which point I headed over and had a chat with Nick and we swapped stories about how little we'd had to eat ... Nick had some chewing gum while driving over that morning, and I had a biscuit just before leaving the house.

Edit - to be fair to the various people I met on the day, 3 or 4 different people (mostly from this fine club) offered to go get me some food ... thanks guys :thumb:

Good fun though, did my usual thing of bumping into people I've known through various forums for years, but never actually met. One from Bulgaria, 2 over from Finland and a group from Belgium who I've helped out a few times. I think this show will go down as the one that reminded me why I stick to MX5s, the community is a great place and the people really are a step above most other car communities. Apart from the grumpy lady who wouldn't pay £10 for a pair of rear lights in perfect condition. Fine dear, off you go and "have a think about it" ...

Great pics. Thought this was one of the best rally's well organised, lots of vendors, racing action and the sun what more could you ask for... Ok a few more food vendors. Learnt my lesson after Sandringham with one Victorian tea room to keep everyone fed and watered, now come prepared with own food.

Bought a lot from my shopping list including a lovely Momo wheel and got some good advice from Maz Menders about my 'bone shaker' suspension..worn bushes and Spax Shocks. I heard there were over 1000 cars although I think October was a bit late as I met some SORN members whose cars are now in 'hibernation' for the Winter so couldn't attend in their 5 :D

Awesome day out!

Donington stitched us up with the catering. We were not allowed to invite any of our own catering vendors. It all had to be provided by Donington's own vendors.

We told them "Expect to cater to 2000 cars" and they didn't believe us! The coffee vendor ran out of coffee at about mid-day. Sadly totally out of our control.

Oh and my feet are ruined!

Not had an official final count on the day yet but the provisional numbers suggest that the total number of MX-5's on site was north of 2000.
