The Royal Oak previously used to have a Classic car meet on a monthly basis. Might be worth a chat with the gaffer, it is mainly a food place now (very nice it is too) but can be quite midweek.

It has a huge car park and is close to motorway links..... I used to run RX8OC meets at the Boat at Catherine de Barnes, they were quite happy as they had the 350Z and classic car meets. Foods good too.

Went to the Boot in Lapworth last night and noticed an 'overflow carpark' pointing to a field at the back. I wonder whether if we asked nicely we could use the field for a meet.......would be terrible in wet weather i admit...we'd all sink but if dry it might be a good spot. The main carpark was very big...don't know how busy it gets mid week.

Back to this old sausage again...... but thought this might be of interest if you're wondering about a pub that's a bit bigger for inside winter meets...This pub seems to have just popped up and opened near to Lapworth, just a few minutes down the road from the current Wharf Tavern meeting pub...it's got a big car park and there seems to be a big bar area...

Anyway, its here if you ever want it :D

I think the boot is unlikely as the main car par gets rammed on nice evenings, i seen Steve Bruce in there a few times along with some of his other half known football chums :)

The overflow car park might be a possibility tho.
No 5 at the moment.. Looking though :)

Have you!!! :D

I agree that it gets rammed and the overflow looks good for the summer when it's dry....but i've been doing some regular chillin' down at the boot (i've become obsessed with their mushy peas) and have noticed that its not great for mid week drinking either is it - bit of a squeeze at the bar. Although....i have noticed another little MX5 there on occasions???!!!! :D But this new pub down the road seems to have a big bar area...Hummmm :D

Arrow Mill nr Alcester, they have a massive car park & its in a great area, opposite Ragley Hall. They have a bike meet on Sundays, so its a great venue for meets, etc

I know this has been dragging on for a while BUT...

How do people feel about the Royal Oak in Hockley Heath? (this is just down the road from the Wharf).

They offered bar snacks menu for us and a dedicated bar for us to use 8) (so that we dont have to wait to get served if they are busy and so that you dont have to buy a full 3 coarse expensive meal ) :D

How do we feel about using it FEBUARY onwards?

I think a change may be nice?
