IT and membership

Postby Firebucket » Sat Mar 21, 2015 9:40 am

Hi Mods et al,

I have a couple of IT techie questions that are either the result of my IT ineptitude or offer the oppotunity for a repair/refinement.

1. I usually use this forum by looking at "Unread Posts". Two of my favorite threads are "V8 Project" and "Valentenic non MX5 build", along with event threads. However, lately when I open these threads I am not taken to the most recent unread post but to some random midway point in the thread that I have seen several times. Okay. so all I have to do is page down and next page etc, but it gets a bit frustrating after a while. Am I doing something wrong or should I been doing something differently, or is this a hitch that could ironed out?

2. I have just tried to PM a buddy. So I went to the members list. This list does not appear in any sort of order as far as I can tell and the alphabetical search is inoperative, so all I could do was scroll through page after page of random members. The obvious question is can the alphabetical search be fixed? However, as I scrolled through I realised that only a very few were active members, with many I did not recognise (okay, I don't know everyone!) and many that were historic. Some have registered and onlyever posted once or twice years ago, and some are perhaps traders. Some may have been active long ago but, perhaps, sold their cars or have shifted their interest elsewhere for whatever reason. So, I guess I am also asking if there is a way to validate/refresh the membership list?

:?: :?: :?:  :?

Issue one, caused by cookies. Just clear your cache and offline files :thumb:

Issue two.... I think I can fix that. Will take a look on Monday :thumb:
